Write Anchor Tags Techniques

Anchor Text to optimize your content

Suitable anchor text makes it easy to convey the contents linked. Anchor text is clickable texts that points to a link. The format is <a href=”#”>your text</a>. It will simply show “Your text” pointing to the link mentioned instead of #. This text tells the users and search engines about the content you are linking.
There are two types of linking – Internal and external linking. Internal linking is pointing to a page of your own website. The main advantage of internal linking is that you keep on engaging your readers. Visitors who come to your blog will most likely read the article and leave unless you provide something more to read. By doing internal linking, you are giving them options – options to discover more content of your blog. Moreover, Internal linking will help search engines crawlers to index your pages fast and they even help in improving search engine rankings. Anchor text is the word or collection of words we used to create hyperlinks. Many bloggers use anchor text like ‘click here‘or ‘see this page‘to make hyperlinks in their blog posts. But this is not a good way to optimize the links. You must use target keywords as anchor text. It will make the job easier for search engines to understand the topic of linked post. Hence there are higher chances to rank for those keywords.
With appropriate anchor text, users and search engines can easily guess what the linked page is all about.

Write Anchor Tags Techniques:

1. Add Anchor Tags To Important Sections Of Your Post
2. Choose a suitable phrase to represent an anchor text instead of a word or two.
3. Avoid long anchor texts
4. Avoid keyword stuffing
5. Use Keywords in Anchor Text
6. The best practice is to put the title of an article in the anchor text, since most likely you have put the best phrase in your title.
7. Most CMS and blogs use your article title as the H1 header. If you make sure that your keywords are in the title, then they should be in the H1 tag by default as well (Joomla and Word press do this by default, but the functionality is Template dependent).
8. Anchor Text for Links
9. Avoid things: Many times when we write long articles, we want to show only a snippet and a link that takes the reader to the full article. This can easily be done in Joomla. However, the default for this anchor text is “Read More + title of the article”. One way to optimize your posts is to eliminate the “Read More” portion of the anchor text. Your anchor text links should contain keywords that describe your article, not something vague such as, read more, click here, etc. You can choose to only show the title of your article and removing the “read more” portion. To change it, go to Article Manager Options and select “Hide” for “Show ‘Read More’”.
10. The anchor text you use for a link should provide at least a basic idea of what the page linked to is about.
11. Aim for short but descriptive text-usually a few words or a short phrase.
Make it easy for users to distinguish between regular text and the anchor text of your links. Your content becomes less useful if users miss the links or accidentally click them.
12. You may usually think about linking in terms of pointing to outside websites, but paying more attention to the anchor text used for internal links can help users and Google navigate your site better.
13. Avoid: using excessively keyword-filled or lengthy anchor text just for search engines .creating unnecessary links that don't help with the user's navigation of the site. Using CSS or text styling that make links look just like regular text. Writing long anchor text, such as a lengthy sentence or short paragraph of text. Writing generic anchor text like "page", "article", or "click here". Using text that is off-topic or has no relation to the content of the page linked to. using the page's URL as the anchor text in most cases
