Blogger is one the best blogging platforms and is used by a large number of people. Blogger provides free hosting for your content and you only need a domain name to get TLD blog. However, this free hosting service comes with a limitation that you cannot upload files to blogger other than Images and videos for your readers to download it.

There is no direct file uploading option in Blogger. You can upload images and videos but for other files like audio, swf, Html, XML, Zip, PHP or word file etc you have to find another way. In this article, I am going to tell you how to enable downloading a file in blogger using Google Drive.
Uploading files in Blogger to Download Using Google Drive
Google Drive is a free service from Google to store files online. It is like a virtual online storage disk for you. It gives you a option to keep your files private or to share with others by making it public. Here are the steps to use Google Drive.
1.     Go to Google Drive and Sign in through your Gmail Id. You can use your Blogger ID.
2.     Upload the file in your Google Drive
3.     When the upload is completed, you will find the sharing option for the file.
4.     Before you can share the file through your blog, you need to change the privacy option from Private to Public. You can change it through the option “who has access“.
5.     Select “Public on the web” as the visibility option for the file you have uploaded in the “Sharing settings“.
6.     Click on save button.
Now you have the sharing link and you have changed the visibility option from private to public. The next step is to insert the download link to your blogger posts.

Insert the download link in Blogger Posts
1.     Go to Blogger Dashboard > New Post (to create a new post).
2.     Insert a link
3.     A pop up box will appear asking you for the anchor text and the download link.
4.     Fill out the details and you are done.

You have given the permission to your readers to download the file which you have uploaded in your Google Drive through your blog post.
