image optimization
You may definitely notice relevant images between the posts on many blogs. Images not only enhance the look of our content, but it also plays an important role to optimize our blog posts. If we make effective use of images in our blog posts, then we can attain extra traffic from search engines. Follow below post to learn more on image optimization in blogger.

On-page Optimization is the pillar of your SEO and one of the most important on page optimization factors is image optimization. Image SEO optimization is one of the building blocks of on page optimization. Images are a strong visual component of a webpage.

Some important techniques of optimizing images:

1. Always insert images related to your blog post. Its enhance blog beauty. Image-related information can be provided for by using the "alt" attribute
2. Store files in specialized directories and manage them using common file formats
3. Use brief, but descriptive filenames and alt text. using generic filenames like "image1.jpg", "pic.gif", "1.jpg" when possible—some sites with thousands. of images might       consider automating the naming of images. writing extremely lengthy filenames. stuffing keywords into alt text or copying and pasting entire sentences.
4. Supply alt text when using images as links. If you do decide to use an image as a link, filling out its alt text helps Google understand more about the page you're linking to. Imagine that you're writing anchor text for a text link. writing excessively long alt text that would be considered spammy. using only image links for your site's navigation.
5. Supply an Image Sitemap file.An Image Sitemap file can provide Googlebot with more information about the images found on your site. Its structure is similar to the XML Sitemap file for your web pages.
6. Rename your image in no more than 3 words. Less is best
7. Use only rich keywords and not simple connecting words like "is, to, for, by, between, are, etc".
8. Image size is a very crutial factor for your overall user experience. Images can make your page heavy. Put up a webpage that takes more than 10 seconds to load, and your users will escape faster than you can say “back button”. After the recent Panda update, the loading time of pages has become a vital part for your SEO ranking as the total time of visit has become more important as a SEO algorithm. So its important to keep your images low in bytes.
9. Avoid using default image file names like, “DSC0019.jpg” as it does not give much information about the image. Use descriptive filenames with keywords separated by “-” (hyphen).
10. Images are eye-catching so are perfect for linking. But proper image linking techniques can offer even better results. One of the basic tips for image linking is to avoid linking your images directly. Always use relevant anchor texts whenever linking your images. This is even more effective for your SEO when embedding images in a guest post or other pages intended to get a link back to your site.
Remember to use a title tag whenever linking your images. Title tag provides a tool tip when you hover your cursor over a link. Use relevant keywords and SEO friendly description and your title tags will rock.

Blogger blog image optimization:

You can now easily add "alt" and "title" attributes to your images. To properly optimized your images in all search engines follow this steps-
blogger image optimization tips

1.      Insert your images on blog post.
2.       click on an image in your Post Editor, and select Properties
3.      Inter proper ‘title’ and  ‘alt’ attributes to your images
4.      At last click ok
5.      Once you edit "alt" and "title" in the Post Editor, you can switch to the HTML view to confirm the modifications you’ve made to your image tag.

Blogger blog image optimization in HTML view:

Whenever you add a photo to your post editor, always switch to "Edit HTML" mode and find the HTML code for the image which will look like this:
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh0NBYwgZ5_I3_ggx9-geKa7wvQFQXXVb-WvbuqoVkdWRFmLaqBAKAQb3ctH9jBS8Dp6TY3eXkXvaB3piXVZ636LfNlsaqI7agllj2j0pXf95SABIJU6bVq5dBXLvq1D7aQgoOS4m5FLg/?imgmax=800" ><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh0NBYwgZ5_I3_ggx9-geKa7wvQFQXXVb-WvbuqoVkdWRFmLaqBAKAQb3ctH9jBS8Dp6TY3eXkXvaB3piXVZ636LfNlsaqI7agllj2j0pXf95SABIJU6bVq5dBXLvq1D7aQgoOS4m5FLg/?imgmax=800" /></a>
I know it looks weird but you just need to identify the HTML code of the image which is the highlighted portion. Add the alt tag just after <img as shown below,
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh0NBYwgZ5_I3_ggx9-geKa7wvQFQXXVb-WvbuqoVkdWRFmLaqBAKAQb3ctH9jBS8Dp6TY3eXkXvaB3piXVZ636LfNlsaqI7agllj2j0pXf95SABIJU6bVq5dBXLvq1D7aQgoOS4m5FLg/?imgmax=800" ><img alt="IMAGE DESCRIPTION" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh0NBYwgZ5_I3_ggx9-geKa7wvQFQXXVb-WvbuqoVkdWRFmLaqBAKAQb3ctH9jBS8Dp6TY3eXkXvaB3piXVZ636LfNlsaqI7agllj2j0pXf95SABIJU6bVq5dBXLvq1D7aQgoOS4m5FLg/?imgmax=800" /></a>
This way you will turn your images into a traffic driving source and can expect fair amount of increase in daily visitors just by adopting the habit of Image Tagging.
